Did You Hear That There Are Museums in Paris?

FEBRUARY 10

We had purchased 2-day Museum Passes and we were raring to go.  First stop - Musee d'Orsay, which is a mecca for Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art lovers.  Absolutely beautiful collection that is housed in a remodeled rail station along the Seine River.  When we arrived at the museum, it looked as if we might get some sun.  When we left, it was snowing hard.

Our next stop was the Musee de L'Orangerie.  This museum has two oval rooms with benches in the middle.  The walls have huge water lily paintings by Monet.  We just sat in each room for a bit to take it all in.

The last stop was the Louvre.  We literally spent 5 hours there, but made two rest stops -- one for lunch and one for some coffee.  This place is beyond enormous.
