Today was our day to cover the churches and, if we had time, to see what we had missed. Our first stop was the chapel, Sainte Chapelle. Unfortunately it did not open at 9am like it was supposed to. So, our next stop was Notre Dame, one of the most famous and beautiful churches in the world.

Our next church was Sacre Coeur, which is high up on a hill in the Montemartre section of Paris.

After the churches, we walked down the Champs de Elysees, the most famous boulevard in Paris. We had lunch and then climbed to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, all 284 stairs.

We had some time and we were cold so we decided to visit the Rodin Museum. This museum has works by Rodin both inside a gallery and outside in a large garden. It was a great place to spend about an hour.
THE THINKER
The weather never did get any better so we decided to brave the elements and end our time in Paris at the Eiffel Tower. Only the first level was open because of the nasty weather. (There are a total of 3 levels that you can go up to on elevators). We had dinner in the Eiffel Tour Restaurant and looked forward to our next day of travel to Switzerland.
