Zermatt

FEBRUARY 12-16

We spent 4 nights in Zermatt, Switzerland, which is the site of the famous Matterhorn.  It's also a skier's paradise.  There are no cars allowed in Zermat so you either walk, ski, take an electric taxi, or a horse and buggy.  It's a stunning locale.

We stayed at Le Petit Hotel and it was petite.  The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, and the morning breakfast was plentiful.

Ron went skiing and took these photos:

You can ski into Italy.  This is the border to Switzerland.

I was very excited to see a Migros, the Swiss grocery store with affordable prices.

This church is pretty close to our hotel and the church bells ring every 15 minutes starting at 6:45 am, sharp!
